ARGO Racing has announced that it will run Lamborghini Gallardo's rather than last years Audi R8 LMS. Their sponsor will be the ATEC Automotive group owned by the same family as ARGO, the Lambert's.
The new LP560 has been faster than even the firm that prepares the cars, Reiter Engineering, had expected.

Update to Carrera Slot Car and Ferrari Exclusive Agreement
The Carrera/Ferrari agreement is really strong. Because Carrera has obtained this agreement, any other manufacturer having Ferrari's in their 2010 line up must produce them and release them and have them sold by June 30th, 2010, and then abandon and destroy any remaining product!
This has adversely affected most other slot car manufacturers who planned production of Ferrari vehicles.

This is a little old, but at the upcoming Nurenberg Toy Fair, Carrera and Ferrari will announce a 3 year agreement for Carrera to be the sole producer of Ferrari slot cars.

2 Major ALMS Teams Finalize Drivers
Porsche factory driver Wolf Henzler will team with Bryan Sellers in the Team Falken's 911 GT3 RSR, while former Formula 1 driver and FIA GT2 champion Gianmaria Bruni is to contest the full American Le Mans Series for the first time after joining Jamie Melo in the Risi Ferrari lineup.
Henzler is a real ace for Team Falken and Melo and Bruni, who both reside in Rome, will be driving together in the GT2 Ferrari in the European LMS series, also.
Look out Flying Lizard and Corvette and BMW and.................

Martin Whitmarsh elected as new FOTA Chairman
The Executive Committee of the Formula One Teams Association elected Martin
Whitmarsh as its new Chairman for the year 2010.
Stefano Domenicali will be the Vice Chairman. Completing the team which will lead FOTA
in 2010, Christian Horner takes the role of Chairman of the Sporting Regulations Working
Group while Ross Brawn will maintain his role of Chairman of the Technical Regulations
Working Group. The activities of the Commercial Development Working Group will be
directly managed by the Executive Committee.
All members placed on record their thanks to Luca di Montezemolo for his valuable
leadership and remarkable contribution in the successful establishment of FOTA, as well
as all the other key figures who contributed greatly to a successful first year. FOTA Teams
now look forward to working with Martin Whitmarsh to continue the development of
activities in the long-term interest of Formula One, in collaboration with all other
stakeholders.
Each member of the association, which now includes all Teams competing in Formula
One, is entitled to appoint one representative within the Executive Committee and within
each of the standing Working Groups. The different bodies work closely together in order
to define FOTA’s objectives and initiatives.

Dubai 24 Hours Results
After 24 Hours the top 3 were:
1. Narac/Pilet/Holzer (F/F/D), Porsche 997 GT3 RSR, 608 laps in 24.01.34.668
2. Taniguchi/Yanagida/Hairuman/Stuck/Yoshida (J/J/MAL/LIE/J), BMW Z4, 3 laps
3. Al Faisal/Hürtgen/Hartung/Al Faisal (KSA/D/D/KSA), BMW Z4, 5 laps
The AF Corse Ferrari F430 which had, among others driving, Michael Waltrip and Marcos Ambrose from NASCAR, ran in the top 10, worked up to 6th at one time, but was eliminated in the 9th hour after an unavoidable collision while Waltrip was driving.
